Pet peeve; shitty quarter squats. Don’t get me wrong there’s plenty of perfectly correct squat variations for different aesthetic and performance related goals. But hearing/seeing Instagram girls & their trainers doing partial range of motion squats and talking about working their glutes drives me nuts.

yes, the glutes have a combination of different functions, and glute max has a very important role in locking out the hips… BUT girls (and guys) the glutes are MAXIMALLY engaged beneath 90 degrees… so if you wanna grow that ass you gotta squat to grass
